I enjoy going into the store to purchase things for my self. I don't own a restaurant or a food truck I just buy for my own personal self. It's hard to find items that you want for your own BBQ but you can find it in your store. From Frozen items to fresh vegetables and you don't have to buy it by the case unless you want to you can buy it just one item at a time .

This was my second trip, but first buying something. I went for the $9.99/lb NY Strip loins. Trying to compare it to Fresh Market. The layout of the store is simple, and it's clean. I might try the meat shopping on a Thursday next time. Probably should have bought last Thursday when there were a few marked 25% off.

Got my pineapple juice and was out quickly. Everyone seems quite friendly. Since I went for the first time a few weeks ago, it has been a weekly trip lol Need my chef son to go with me for some veggies and meat. Not down with Halal meat at all, so won't be purchasing it. The cooler areas are truly frigid!

I went to the Winston-Salem store today to buy two boxes of vinyl, powder free gloves, size Large. The only two boxes available had been opened and maybe some gloves removed. I went to an available cashier, who was very polite to ask if any more gloves were available, in type/size that I wanted. He checked and there wasn't any more available. On my behalf, the cashier asked the manager if there was anything that he could do since they didn't have any "unopened" boxes. The manager, who was ringing up another customer, rudely answered "No". He said " customers open those boxes and he had no way of knowing if some had been removed. We can't mark them down. " So, was I responsible for this problem? I thanked the cashier, and I left the store. I will think twice about shopping at ChefStore again.

This store has not been open long. They cater to restaurants and businesses but is open to the general public. Most prices are very good compared to other stores. They have a huge selection of fresh wholesale meat as well as frozen ones. From produce to spices, plates, cups etc. All your restaurants needs are found here at reasonable prices. Bring proof of your tax exempt status. Only downside is that you pay as you go, only way to set up an account is if they deliver to you and there is a minimum amount of purchase required.
